Overview:

Under the guidance of the Sales Manager and with daily input from designated Project Manager(s), this role is pivotal in orchestrating all technical aspects of assigned projects. The position ensures seamless communication and collaboration among various disciplines and project team members, including external clients and suppliers. You will engage in dynamic, multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects while honing your skills in estimation, scheduling, and design within the design-build construction framework.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Project Manager in fostering internal departmental relationships (accounting, purchasing, engineering, construction, fabrication, legal, etc.). Collaborate with the Purchasing Department on scope, pricing, submittals, and delivery for procured items. Facilitate installation procedures among Engineering, Construction, and other stakeholders. Oversee job progress on-site as necessary, utilizing your design expertise to address operational and installation challenges as they arise. Manage and/or process daily administrative tasks (Document Control, RFIs, Dailies, POs, MOPs, submittals, procurement logs, etc.) as directed by the Project Manager. Coordinate project personnel activities to ensure timely and budget-compliant project progression. Plan tasks, monitor labor, track materials and deliveries, and assess project costs at completion. Identify potential issues and assist the Project Manager in implementing effective solutions. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, primary contractors, trade partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and trade personnel by:

Participating in job kick-off, progress, foreman, and OAC meetings.

Engaging with installers, suppliers, and subcontractors to provide clear information, direction, and detailed instructions.

Managing subcontractors to meet project expectations.

Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or upper management.

Position Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A focus on Mechanical Engineering is preferred, or 3-5 years of relevant industry experience or a combination of education and experience. High level of integrity, business ethics, and professionalism. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proven success in building interpersonal relationships and delivering positive customer service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen and follow directions effectively.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

Walk and stand; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl (for purposes of assisting with project site inspections). Lift, push, pull, carry, and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision and distance vision. Maintain regular and consistent attendance.

Work Schedule:

This is a non-exempt position. Workdays are typically scheduled from Monday through Friday, with work hours beginning and ending between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm as arranged with the supervisor. Occasional overtime may be necessary based on business needs.

Travel Requirements:

As needed to travel between the assigned office location and regional branch offices or project/customer sites.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly wage. Please note that actual compensation is determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is just one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
