Overview:

Under the guidance of the Sales Manager and with daily oversight from designated Project Manager(s), this role is pivotal in orchestrating all technical functions related to assigned projects. The position is essential for fostering effective communication and collaboration among various disciplines and project team members, including external clients and suppliers. In this capacity, you will engage in dynamic, multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects while enhancing your expertise in estimating, scheduling, and design within the design-build construction framework.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in managing relationships across internal departments (e.g., accounting, purchasing, engineering, construction, fabrication, legal, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department on scope, pricing, submittals, and delivery for procured items. Facilitate installation procedures among Engineering, Construction, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee job progress on-site as necessary, utilizing your design expertise to address operational and installation challenges.
  • Handle daily administrative tasks (e.g., Document Control, RFIs, Dailies, POs, MOPs, submittals, procurement logs, etc.) as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate project personnel activities to ensure adherence to schedule and budget. Plan tasks, monitor labor, track materials and deliveries, and manage project costs.
  • Identify potential issues and assist the Project Manager in resolving them effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, prime contractors, trade partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and trade personnel by:

Participating in job kick-off, progress, foreman, and OAC meetings.

Engaging with installers, suppliers, and subcontractors to provide information, guidance, and detailed instructions.

Managing subcontractors to ensure compliance with project expectations.

  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or upper management.

Qualifications (Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A focus on Mechanical Engineering is preferred, or
  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • High level of integrity, business ethics, and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to build interpersonal relationships and provide positive customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen and follow instructions.

Work Schedule:

This is a non-exempt position. Workdays are typically Monday through Friday, with hours scheduled between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm as determined by the supervisor. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.

Travel Requirements:

As necessary, travel to and from the assigned office location, regional branch offices, and project/customer sites.

Compensation:

Hourly wages range from $29.98 to $38.79. Please note that actual compensation is influenced by various factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, experience, certifications, education, and work location. The offered wage or salary is one component of the total compensation package.
