Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the construction team to install power distribution systems, transformers, lighting, temporary construction power, and electrical equipment up to 480 VAC.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot various electrical components, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Interpret and use complex electrical schematics and blueprints to plan, install, and improve electrical systems, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Consult technical manuals and read project electrical drawings to perform and plan work scopes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Execute a wide variety of electrical tasks, providing timely feedback and contributing to the success of the project.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and strong work ethic that reflects Tesla's mission and goals, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a journeyman electrician in industrial or commercial settings, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency in sizing conductors and conduits, as well as using the NEC Code Book, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Experience handling electrical systems from low to high voltage up to 480 VAC, with medium voltage experience being a plus.
  • Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics, with a strong understanding of electrical principles and concepts.
  • Capability to test and commission work according to Tesla procedures and building department codes, ensuring safety and quality.
  • Strong knowledge of job site safety, with the ability to evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning, focusing on electrical hazards and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 80 ft., with a strong sense of physical and mental stamina.
