Overview:

Reporting to the Sales Manager and receiving daily guidance from assigned Project Manager(s), this role is pivotal in managing all technical operations for designated projects. The position emphasizes effective communication and collaboration among various disciplines and project team members, including external clients and suppliers. You will engage in dynamic, multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects, enhancing your expertise in estimating, scheduling, and design within the design-build construction framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Project Manager in fostering relationships across internal departments (accounting, purchasing, engineering, construction, fabrication, legal, etc.). Work closely with the Purchasing Department to manage scope, pricing, submittals, and delivery of procured items. Facilitate installation processes among Engineering, Construction, and other stakeholders. Oversee job site progress as necessary, applying your design knowledge in a practical manner to address operational and installation challenges. Manage daily administrative tasks (Document Control, RFIs, Dailies, POs, MOPs, submittals, procurement logs, etc.) as directed by the Project Manager. Coordinate project personnel activities to ensure timely and budget-compliant project progression. Plan tasks, monitor labor, track materials and deliveries, and manage project costs. Identify potential issues and assist the Project Manager in implementing effective solutions. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, prime contractors, trade partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and trade personnel by:

Participating in project kick-off, progress, foreman, and OAC meetings.

Engaging with installers, suppliers, and subcontractors to provide guidance and detailed instructions.

Managing subcontractors to align with project expectations.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or upper management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A focus on Mechanical Engineering is preferred, or 3-5 years of relevant industry experience or a combination of education and experience. High integrity, business ethics, and professionalism. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to build interpersonal relationships and deliver positive customer service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen and follow instructions.

Sit and stand; use hands and fingers to operate computer, tablet, keyboard, and/or telephone; grasp, handle, and/or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Walk and stand; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed for project site inspections. Lift, push, pull, carry, and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision. Maintain regular and routine attendance.

Work Schedule:

This is a non-exempt position. Workdays are typically Monday through Friday, with hours scheduled between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm as arranged with the supervisor. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.

Travel Requirements:

Travel may be necessary to and from the assigned office location to regional branch offices and/or project/customer sites.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly wages. Actual compensation is determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, experience, certifications, education, and work location. The offered wage or salary is one component of the total compensation package.
