Role Overview:

Your Responsibilities

The Product Strategy Lead is tasked with enhancing the product's value derived from the efforts of the team.

Product Strategy Leads play a pivotal role in launching innovative products and enhancing platforms that elevate customer satisfaction, fulfill client demands, and generate business value while determining the team's focus on delivering customer value. The Product Strategy Lead serves as a guiding figure rather than a direct supervisor, possessing comprehensive job knowledge and mentoring team members. They organize the team's tasks and allocate responsibilities effectively.

Proactively identifies and escalates risks and issues that may affect customers in daily operations to management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains the product backlog, prioritizing items to meet Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) while ensuring it remains current. Keeps essential product documentation (e.g., customer journey maps, process diagrams, etc.) updated.
  • Ensures product features and processes comply with relevant regulatory, compliance, and risk management standards. Guarantees the product meets the highest quality benchmarks, including timely security updates. Translates requirements (regulatory, contractual) into use cases, agile stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure compliance. Creates and validates user story acceptance criteria, monitoring product progress through each iteration.
  • Facilitates Agile methodologies (sprints, planning, execution, and retrospectives) and conducts regular meetings with the product team to keep the product backlog updated.
  • Defines both functional and non-functional product requirements, ensuring they are comprehensive, coherent, and serve as a foundation for the product team. Creates and validates user story acceptance criteria and implements suitable testing frameworks for product features (e.g., market testing, functional performance, etc.). Collaborates with Data stewards in their respective lines of business to ensure necessary data quality controls are identified and executed. Monitors product progress through each iteration.
  • Collaborates with business technology to develop technical features essential for ongoing optimization of system components and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Manages and communicates project scope, deliverables, and timelines through effective storyboarding and structuring complex information visually.
  • Contributes to product development and vision by linking customer solutions to business objectives. Responsible for delivering the Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
  • Works with cross-functional teams to support market entry strategies.
  • Fosters a culture of accountability and ownership by empowering the product team to make decisions as close to the work as possible.
  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders in the evaluation, development, management, monitoring, and enhancement of assigned products and programs.

Essential Qualifications

Fundamentals

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Product Management or Engineering within the Financial Services or Technology sectors, or related fields.
  • Alternatively, 6+ years of experience in Product Management or Engineering within the Financial Services or Technology sectors, or related fields, may substitute for a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile Certification.
  • Experience in the Credit Card sector.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation for this role typically ranges between $100,000.00 to $139,000. Additional incentives may be part of a competitive total compensation package. Factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may influence the pay for this position.
