Position Overview

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key strategic partner responsible for overseeing the financial stability of the organization. This role entails managing financial operations and enhancing our long-term financial strategies, controls, and policies to establish a solid financial base for the next growth phase. The CFO will be a trusted financial advisor to the CEO, Executive Team, and Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Leadership: As a member of the executive team, provide insights on critical strategic decisions. Actively engage in planning, approving, and refining corporate growth strategies and policies.
  2. Revenue Expansion: Collaborate with the CEO to identify new market opportunities and validate growth hypotheses. Conduct financial assessments of potential business ventures, including negotiations with both existing and prospective clients.
  3. Financial Planning and Analysis: Deliver regular financial reports and analyses to staff and board members. Develop, track, and maintain essential financial metrics. Partner with the CEO to set and communicate annual financial objectives across the organization.
  4. Accounting Oversight: Supervise all accounting functions to ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with GAAP. Manage quarterly financial reviews with department leaders. Prepare revenue forecasts, monthly management reports, budgets, and board presentations.
  5. Operational Leadership: Play a pivotal role in managing the daily financial operations of the organization.
  6. Compliance and Audit Management: Ensure that proper controls are in place and oversee the quarterly and annual audit processes. Maintain accurate global compliance.
Qualifications:

Essential Experience and Knowledge:

  1. At least 10 years of proven success as a VP of Finance, VP-Controller, or CFO in a high-tech environment, leading a global financial planning process and collaborating with business leaders at all levels.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of finance management experience in a SaaS company, ideally with rapid revenue growth.
  3. Experience in revenue generation, investment management, and mergers and acquisitions.
  4. Comprehensive understanding of internal versus external reporting requirements.
  5. Technical expertise in software revenue recognition.
  6. Demonstrated success in structuring and negotiating venture financing, strategic investments, and M&A transactions.
  7. Proven track record of scaling early-stage revenue companies, supported by effective analysis, forecasting, and timely process controls.
  8. Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting frameworks and reporting obligations, along with internal financial management and control practices. Familiarity with SFDC and Hyperion is advantageous.
  9. Recognized success as a business leader, delivering value beyond conventional finance and accounting roles.
  10. Exceptional project management and organizational capabilities.
  11. International experience is beneficial.
  12. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  13. Experience with successful IPOs is a significant advantage.
