Job Overview: The Oklahoma Agricultural Authority is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Vice President of Fundraising to lead our development initiatives. This pivotal role involves cultivating relationships with philanthropic supporters to enhance the organization’s mission and operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a results-driven approach and a genuine, donor-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the Oklahoma Agricultural Authority.
  • Manage and nurture vendor relationships and contracts related to membership marketing and database services.
  • Lead grant solicitation and management efforts.
  • Set, monitor, and achieve annual fundraising targets.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on gift reconciliation processes.
  • Effectively manage projects and adhere to deadlines.
  • Implement and uphold best practices in fundraising for public service organizations.
  • Maintain an organized calendar for fundraising activities, including scheduling and task management.
  • Plan and execute direct mail campaigns and acknowledgments.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in fundraising within business or non-profit sectors.
  • Significant experience in annual fund campaigns utilizing diverse data response strategies.
  • Experience in grant solicitation and management.
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated through a well-crafted cover letter.
  • Familiarity with current best practices in public media fundraising.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Philanthropy, Business, or Communications.
  • Two to three years of successful fundraising experience with a track record of securing philanthropic contributions.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with governmental and non-profit public media organizations.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with contracted personnel.
  • Capability to analyze and interpret policies for effective problem-solving.
  • Adherence to ethical guidelines and regulations relevant to the position.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management software and donor databases.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on achieving performance goals.
  • Familiarity with PBS programming.

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, leave, retirement plans, and more.
