Position Summary:

Hillwood Investment Properties (HIP) is in search of a seasoned Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence to enhance our U.S. Operations team. This role, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations and Data Management, will be pivotal in optimizing our operational frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic oversight and leadership to the operations team, ensuring alignment with HIP's overarching business goals.
  2. Refine and develop operational processes that enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, and financial outcomes.
  3. Oversee HIP's compensation frameworks, including the management of both short-term and long-term incentive programs.
  4. Engage in co-investment management related to our assets.
  5. Facilitate the year-end compensation review process in collaboration with executive leadership and human resources.
  6. Lead the annual budgeting process, coordinating inputs from various business units to ensure accuracy.
  7. Manage asset lifecycle tracking, ensuring timely and precise data capture in our systems.
  8. Supervise asset valuation processes for HIP's balance sheet and U.S. Fund products.
  9. Establish and oversee a streamlined lease approval process, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  10. Contribute to technology initiatives, aiding in the selection of software that enhances data triangulation and decision-making.
  11. Design and implement reporting tools that provide ongoing analytics and insights into business performance.
  12. Respond to ad-hoc inquiries from business leaders.
  13. Maintain critical date reports, ensuring tasks are assigned and completed appropriately.
  14. Assist Regional Market Leaders with new entity formations and operational setups.
  15. Support the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations with property onboarding and offboarding processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proactive self-starter with a strong leadership presence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proven track record of fostering collaboration across teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and experience with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring teams.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degrees (MBA, CPA) are advantageous.
  • 7-10 years of experience in business operations and finance, with a preference for commercial real estate experience.
  • Strong understanding of back-office operations, including budgeting and financial analysis.
