Salt Lake, Utah, United States DonorConnect Full time
Transplant Resource Coordinator

DonorConnect is seeking a dedicated full-time Transplant Resource Coordinator to enhance our organ donation and research initiatives. If you possess expertise in the organ and tissue donation sector, have a keen interest in research support, and excel in logistical management, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

As a federally designated nonprofit organization, DonorConnect is committed to the recovery of organs and tissues for life-saving transplants. Our team plays a crucial role in saving and improving lives.

The Transplant Resource Coordinator (TRC) is primarily tasked with the distribution of organs for transplantation and research purposes, alongside the orchestration of organ recovery and transportation logistics. You will manage allocations for renal, pancreas, and research organs in accordance with established protocols. Furthermore, the TRC will serve as the main point of contact for all case-related communications and reporting to the renal and pancreas transplant programs. Collaboration with the Surgical Services Department will be essential to facilitate the logistical components of renal machine perfusion and to assist in the transportation of donor specimens, research tissues, and organs. The TRC will also play a pivotal role in overseeing DonorConnect's GPS tracking initiative, which involves notifying transplant centers about GPS devices attached to accepted organs, monitoring the tracking process, and aiding in the retrieval of each GPS device. Additionally, you will support the Organ Utilization Manager in the development and execution of research protocols, assist in data collection, and contribute to quality assurance efforts.

At DonorConnect, we expect our team members to embody our I CARE+ values: integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect, expertise, and a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
