Shriners Children's is a leading pediatric medical center providing comprehensive care in burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties. We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Resource Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
The Pediatric Resource Coordinator will provide administrative support to patients and families, navigating and accessing external resources, support systems, and information. This role will also assist the team with problem-solving, facilitate inpatient and outpatient care, and proactively address potential or actual transportation and lodging needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clerical support to patients and families
- Assist the team with problem-solving and facilitate inpatient and outpatient care
- Proactively address potential or actual transportation and lodging needs
- Provide interpretation and translation services for patients and family members
- Identify and address cultural or language barriers to care
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Medical Interpretation Certification preferred
Experience:
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- At least 1 year of experience with Clinical Medical Interpretation preferred
- At least 1 year of Medical Terminology preferred
- Experience in customer support in a pediatric medical setting preferred
Other:
- Current full vaccination status required
