Position Overview

JOB SUMMARY

The Community Resource Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and thoroughness of the 2-1-1 resource database, facilitating access to essential information for both employees and the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regularly updates and sustains the 2-1-1 database, following established guidelines and classification standards.
  • Manages special projects and initiatives related to community resources.
  • Assists organizations seeking inclusion in the 2-1-1 database by providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Monitors local media channels for emerging services, programs, and agencies.
  • Participates in community gatherings to gather insights about resources for the 2-1-1 information and referral database.
  • Facilitates training sessions for contact center personnel on database usage.
  • Supports the coordination, oversight, and execution of referral processes.
  • Prioritizes tasks effectively, distinguishing between urgent and non-urgent matters.
  • Collaborates with the Community Resiliency Program Manager on various community projects.
  • Assists in organizing and planning both virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Provides support during disaster situations as needed.
  • Attends essential meetings related to the Community Resiliency Program, including disaster response follow-ups.
  • Offers administrative assistance to the Community Resiliency Program Manager.
  • Contributes to expanding the Community Resiliency Program's outreach within the community.
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A combination of a high school diploma and at least two years of professional experience in the human services sector.
  • Willingness to achieve AIRS (Alliance of Information & Referral Systems, Inc.) certification standards.
  • Proficient in necessary software and technology through training and daily use.
  • Successful completion of the AIRS certification program for Certified Resource Specialists (CRS) within 24 months of employment.
