Key Responsibilities

The Office Operations Coordinator is tasked with a comprehensive array of administrative functions, alongside both standardized and non-standardized clerical duties. This role operates autonomously and serves as the primary liaison for designated technical responsibilities, which encompass correspondence management, organizational tasks, record keeping, financial oversight, tracking, and database administration. The incumbent is expected to independently address and resolve technical challenges. Additional areas of administrative support may involve mail handling, public engagement, contract preparation assistance, and general office operations.

Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must meet the experience and/or educational criteria outlined below. Your resume must clearly articulate your relevant experience. If qualifying through education, unofficial transcripts must accompany your application.

Minimum Qualifications: To be considered minimally qualified for this role, candidates must demonstrate the required specialized experience and/or education relevant to the grade level for which they are applying.

Specialized Experience for GS-05: One (1) year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the private or public sectors) performing at least two of the following: (1) Processing recurring or standardized transactions in an automated system; (2) Maintaining documents and files; and (3) Providing assistance on procedural matters.
OR
Education for GS-05: Completion of four years of education beyond high school in any field for which high school graduation or equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must be obtained from an accredited institution.
OR
Combination of Education/Experience for GS-05: Completion of education exceeding the first 60 semester hours (beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement, combined with relevant experience as defined above.

Specialized Experience for GS-06: One (1) year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service, performing at least three of the following: (1) Procuring and distributing supplies, services, and equipment; (2) Utilizing computer programs for data management; (3) Maintaining filing systems; and (4) Consolidating information into summaries or reports.

Specialized Experience for GS-07: One (1) year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service, performing at least four of the following: (1) Assisting with budget development; (2) Monitoring obligations and expenditures; (3) Procuring and distributing supplies; (4) Utilizing computer programs for data management; and (5) Reviewing data for consolidation into reports.

Time-in-Grade Requirements: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.

Volunteer Experience: Experience includes both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles through National Service programs and other organizations. All qualifying experience will be credited.
