ROLE SUMMARY
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional service to clients while supporting the commercial lines team and producers in managing various aspects of commercial insurance. Experience in contractor, manufacturing, or distribution sectors is advantageous, along with familiarity with Applied EPIC or AMS 360 systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage renewals and new business submissions, including cancellations, audits, and endorsements.
- Issue necessary certificates of insurance.
- Lead renewal meetings and oversee the renewal process.
- Negotiate coverage terms and premiums with insurance carriers.
- Provide accurate renewal proposals to producers and account executives.
- Verify policy coverages, endorsements, and audits for correctness.
- Handle invoicing for policies, audits, endorsements, and cancellations.
- Assist in reconciling client accounts with producers and the accounting department.
- Ensure account rounding is achieved.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Maintain a positive attitude towards company and team objectives.
- Foster excellent communication and rapport with both internal and external clients.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to address issues related to cancellations, claims, renewals, audits, and carrier interactions.
- Establish a trusted advisor relationship with clients.
- Adhere to established commercial lines procedures.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with partners, carriers, and vendors.
- Exhibit sound judgment when managing complex situations.
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience (5-7 years) in a related field.
CERTIFICATIONS
Must possess a valid Property & Casualty insurance agent license and maintain it through ongoing education.
