Palliative Care Nurse Manager Job Summary

CMP is seeking a highly skilled Palliative Care Nurse Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality palliative care services to patients and families. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in palliative care and experience in managing a team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to provide palliative care services to patients and families.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided and implement improvements as needed.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
Requirements:
  • Minimum four (4) years of clinical nursing experience related to palliative care, including four (4) years of management, supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Bachelors Degree in Nursing, or Masters Degree in Nursing earned through a direct entry MSN program.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years of management experience preferred.
  • One (1) year of Magnet/shared governance experience preferred.
  • One (1) year of managing in a bargaining environment preferred.
  • Masters degree preferred.
