Position Overview:

A prominent client is in search of a Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT Operations Division. This role is integral to a larger team dedicated to managing the corporate IT environment, encompassing both on-premises and cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical expertise, outstanding communication abilities, and a strong commitment to teamwork. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and be on-call for organizational support is essential. This position operates in a hybrid model, requiring on-site presence three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:


• Develop and standardize system configurations to enhance operational efficiency.


• Oversee the maintenance of Microsoft Windows Server, VMware Clusters, and Data Storage systems.


• Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity.


• Administer Azure virtual machines, storage solutions, and networking components.


• Implement and uphold disaster recovery protocols.


• Address incidents and resolve technical challenges affecting production promptly.


• Lead projects and ensure deliverables are met within established timelines.


• Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to address vulnerabilities effectively.


• Follow Change Management Policies and Guidelines diligently.


• Create and update runbooks and automation scripts.

Required Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.


• Minimum of 3 years in an IT Operations role, managing servers and storage in a professional setting.


• At least 3 years of experience with VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft technologies.


• Proficient understanding of core technologies including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, and TCP/IP.


• Experience with scripting languages, particularly strong PowerShell skills are essential.


• Familiarity with server application monitoring systems.


• Knowledge of backup systems for both on-premises and cloud environments.


• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and complete work efficiently.


• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and critical thinking capabilities.


• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.


• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.


• Capability to lift 30-50 lbs without assistance.


• Availability to work nights, weekends, and participate in on-call activities as needed.


• Willingness to travel up to 15% for office visits and project-related activities.
