Position Overview:

Job Title: Cloud Architect

Location: Hybrid

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of relevant experience in cloud architecture and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tailored to meet client business needs.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on best practices and optimal utilization of GCP services and features.
  • Establish and maintain GCP infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
  • Automate the deployment and management of GCP resources utilizing tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot GCP infrastructure, applications, and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute comprehensive solutions leveraging GCP services.
  • Stay informed about GCP offerings and new features, recommending enhancements to existing solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to security and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to GCP architecture, configurations, and processes.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect.
  • 6-8 years of experience in Google Cloud Migration.
  • 6-8 years of experience as a Cloud Architect.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in Google Cloud Platform, including compute, storage, networking, and database solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills to comprehend business and technical requirements and propose suitable GCP solutions.
  • Experience in creating technical design and architecture documents, collaborating with review boards for design and solution approvals.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine for hosting containerized workloads at scale and ensuring high availability for production applications.
  • Experience in GKE cluster sizing, network configurations, and security measures for a resilient and secure container runtime environment.
  • Ability to create and customize Kubernetes manifests for deployments, services, and ingress objects.
  • Experience in deploying microservices using Istio or other service mesh technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience in designing CI/CD pipelines using GCP DevOps solutions and third-party tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, and Travis CI.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Operations suite and practical experience in implementing Cloud Monitoring and Logging to ensure the reliability and performance of hosted applications.
  • Experience in implementing Cloud IAM with a focus on least privilege security and hardening cloud infrastructure in accordance with CIS and NIST standards.
  • Experience in provisioning GCP infrastructure using an Infrastructure as Code approach, preferably with Terraform.
  • Implementation experience with GCP managed database and storage solutions, including Cloud SQL, Firestore, and Cloud Storage buckets.
