Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research, design, and oversee the installation of HVAC mechanical systems tailored to meet client specifications for diverse projects.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive quotes detailing project costs and timelines, adhering to specified deadlines.
  • Collaborate on HVAC system and equipment design across various projects, engaging with engineers, project managers, and HVAC technicians to refine design parameters.
  • Evaluate HVAC systems and equipment to identify inefficiencies or issues, proposing solutions to enhance performance and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with building automation and control systems, including Tridium and Niagara.
  • Engage directly with clients, service managers, and property managers to ascertain project requirements, objectives, design specifications, and operational contexts, assessing costs and feasibility for new HVAC installations.
  • Lead project coordination efforts among service managers, property managers, and service personnel throughout all project phases.
  • Establish facility and equipment specifications.
  • Analyze project expenditures and formulate budgets.
  • Develop capital improvement initiatives and negotiate relevant contracts.
  • Plan and manage maintenance schedules and activities for infrastructure and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
  • Compile reports and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with Property Managers to ensure effective property operations and timely completion of initiatives across the portfolio.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering or a related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of physical maintenance, particularly in HVAC systems, building automation, and HVAC controls.
  • Experience in team leadership and management.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and building codes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Proactive mindset with strong execution skills and a leadership approach.
  • Demonstrated work ethic with professionalism and strong communication skills.
