Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team at our Hamilton, Ohio facility. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment for both hourly production employees and salaried staff. You will work closely with our farm operations team to cultivate a culture that prioritizes safety, quality, continuous learning, high performance, and inclusion. Key responsibilities include employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, leadership development, compliance, training, and HR projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing concerns with discretion and confidentiality. Support positive employee relations by resolving workplace issues, coaching supervisors, and implementing engagement initiatives.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Collaborate with TA specialist to assist in managing full-cycle recruitment for hourly production and salaried roles. Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and paperwork. Work with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and workforce planning.
  • Performance Management: Support managers in performance appraisal processes, providing guidance on goal-setting, coaching, and corrective action when necessary. Partner with managers to develop action plans for underperforming employees and support succession planning initiatives.
  • Compliance & Recordkeeping: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, OSHA, etc.) and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes. Manage employee records and documentation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with retention policies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve issues in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.
  • Ability to remain flexible and composed in a dynamic production setting.
  • Commitment to building positive relationships and enhancing the employee experience.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance starting day one of employment, paid time off based on years of experience, 1-week paid health & wellness time, 10 paid holidays, parental leave, annual tuition reimbursement, 401k with up to 4% company match, company-paid life insurance, and short and long-term disability insurance.
