Position Overview

Role: Legal Document Management Clerk

We are seeking a dedicated Legal Document Management Clerk to become a vital part of our esteemed law firm. The successful candidate will have a solid background in document management within a legal environment, ideally with 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the organization and digitalization of legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence, and discovery materials.
  • Perform scanning, photocopying, and uploading of essential legal documents.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring timely processing and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs for file closures and document destruction.
  • Assist in the secure archiving of documents and the management of physical files.
  • Support additional administrative tasks, including answering phones and welcoming visitors.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a legal filing role is required.
  • Experience in Plaintiff Personal Injury, Employment Law, or Mass Torts is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is necessary.
  • Proficient in using computers, photocopiers, and scanners.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel on Mac platforms is essential.
