As a pivotal member of our team, you will establish and manage comprehensive systems for all housekeeping operations within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

At Franklin Wellness & Rehabilitation Center, we prioritize a collaborative environment among staff and a welcoming atmosphere for our residents. The following duties outline your essential responsibilities:

  • Delegate and organize housekeeping tasks to ensure equitable distribution of workload among staff based on the facility's layout and size.
  • Engage in the recruitment, onboarding, training, assessment, and supervision of housekeeping personnel.
  • Ensure that disciplinary measures within the department are applied consistently and fairly, respecting all individuals regardless of background.
  • Acknowledge and reward outstanding performance of staff regularly, incorporating this into formal evaluations.
  • Design and oversee a daily cleaning regimen.
  • Maintain a systematic schedule for daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual housekeeping duties.
  • Monitor staffing levels to prevent overstaffing and ensure efficient use of scheduled personnel.
  • Uphold a clean and odor-free environment throughout the facility at all times.
  • Assist housekeeping staff in completing their tasks as necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance checks and cleaning reports as required.
  • Schedule housekeeping staff in alignment with resident census and budgetary constraints.
  • Plan and supervise special cleaning projects, including windows, walls, and floors.
  • Manage the procurement of housekeeping supplies within budgetary limits while maintaining precise inventory records.
  • Fill in for housekeeping staff during absences, including vacations and unexpected call-ins.
  • Ensure that staff have access to the necessary equipment and supplies, monitoring usage to prevent waste.
  • Maintain the Housekeeping Department in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.
  • Keep management informed daily about housekeeping operations, suggesting improvements for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management to address any grievances or issues related to housekeeping.
  • Develop and enforce procedures for the safe operation of department equipment by trained personnel.
  • Participate actively in quality assurance, safety, and budget committees.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures for the Housekeeping Department.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary meetings regarding resident care as requested.
  • Utilize checklists to ensure staff are fulfilling their responsibilities.
  • Engage in educational programs to meet facility training requirements.
  • Familiarize yourself with safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding resident and facility information.
  • Safeguard residents from neglect and ensure their personal property is protected.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Practical understanding of daily cleaning operations in a healthcare setting.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with self-discipline and patience.
  • Genuine compassion for elderly and disabled individuals.
  • Adherence to residents' rights and facility policies.
  • Ability to perform job tasks within specified physical demands.
