Southall Farm and Inn serves as a distinguished venue that harmonizes nature, agriculture, and community in a remarkable manner. The Facilities Operations Specialist will collaborate with the Southall Experience Service Team and various departments under the guidance of the Executive Housekeeper. This position will play a crucial role in transitioning systems to the Alice platform for ticket management. The individual will be tasked with addressing guest inquiries and managing internal requests as the Facilities Operations Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and continuous management of the Alice ticketing platform, which includes overseeing Project Management orders and tickets for Engineering, Grounds, Landscaping, IT, Security, Guest Services, and more.
- Assist in managing supply orders and tracking budgets related to these operational areas.
- Act as the representative for the Rooms/Housekeeping Departments, working closely with the Southall Experience Service Team to capture, address, and resolve requests from guests or internal clients.
- Exhibit strong communication and coordination skills through daily pre-shift meetings and interdepartmental collaboration.
- Uphold hotel property standards, policies, and procedures. Prioritize and organize work assignments, direct staff performance, and follow up on necessary corrections.
- Occasionally assist Housekeeping Leadership with organizational tasks as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including but not limited to the printing and distribution of restaurant menus and room collateral.
- Two to five years of experience in hotel/resort or large facility housekeeping maintenance is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with and experience using HotSOS and/or Alice ticketing systems is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide clear, concise directions in both verbal and written formats.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing) to ensure effective communication with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Capability to perform assigned tasks with attention to detail, efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism, while working independently.
- Strong teamwork skills, including listening, coaching, guiding, adaptability, collaboration, problem-solving, and facilitation.
- Physical ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and/or holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods as required.
- High School diploma or GED
