About this position:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer to be part of the Consumer and Small Business Banking Control Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead intricate initiatives aimed at reducing existing and potential risks with significant impact.
  • Actively participate in the assessment, evaluation, and measurement of the effects of decisions within the Control Management domain.
  • Oversee moderately complex business-specific programs and offer risk management consulting to assist in crafting and executing risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate, measure, and report on the consequences of decisions and controls to the pertinent business group or functional area.
  • Design and implement risk monitoring and reporting processes and controls.
  • Collaborate with relevant business groups to pinpoint current and emerging risks linked to business activities and operations, providing guidance in formulating and executing risk-mitigating strategies.
  • Lead Control Management projects or virtual teams.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Risk Management or Control Management, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience in Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) or Branch Banking preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in risk assessment and control design.
  • 3 years of experience in Issues Management.
  • 3 years of knowledge and understanding of Control Programs, including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
  • 3 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry preferred.
  • Ability to strategically influence and consult across a large organization and with various levels of leadership/stakeholders.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting, and SharePoint).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks, including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics, and governance.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
