Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Business Support - Focus on Sales Practices and Conduct Management
  • Performance Evaluation and Incentive Compensation Design, including oversight of performance-related reporting
  • Enhance the business control framework through the execution of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program
  • Drive the resolution of assigned issues and Corrective Actions (CAs) throughout the Issue Management Lifecycle
  • Participate in the development and deployment of new control measures
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and proactive evaluations of the operational/control environment
  • Support initiatives aimed at Business Development, including Customer & Branch Experience and Best Practices
  • Lead the creation of communication materials, including presentations for leadership and regulatory bodies
  • Facilitate client relationship management and customer outreach processes
  • Conduct or oversee comprehensive risk assessments (e.g., UDAAP, Conduct/Sales Practices, Fair Lending)
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven history of success in conducting risk and control evaluations while collaborating across various teams and business units. Strong verbal and written communication skills, self-motivation, and meticulous attention to detail will be critical in the selection process. Candidates should be innovative, articulate, and possess robust problem-solving capabilities, along with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. This position requires a collaborative individual who can take initiative, manage change effectively in a dynamic environment, and exhibit strong planning and execution abilities. A key differentiator will be the capacity to navigate and succeed in a complex, heavily matrixed business landscape. The role demands a sense of urgency, a commitment to results, sound judgment, and personal accountability for achieving objectives.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Risk Management or Control Management, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education
Desired Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in risk and control identification methodologies and assessment processes
  • Familiarity with branch systems (e.g., Tellerview, SVT, SVP, Hogan) and related procedures
  • Prior experience in branch banking or regional support roles
  • Strong understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and Corporate Policy to identify risks and issues
  • Ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels while influencing timely risk mitigation
  • Proactive individual contributor with the ability to work autonomously
  • Resourceful in leveraging information from multiple sources to assess risk effectively
  • Proficient in creating, implementing, and maintaining effective processes
  • Demonstrated ability to apply credible challenge and withstand scrutiny of work products
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
