Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Participate in the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of best-in-class Compliance programs, policies, and practices.
- Compliance Risk Assessments: Analyze comparative data and prepare regional and global reports related to compliance risk assessments and monitoring of compliance-related issues.
- Regulatory Compliance: Review materials to ensure compliance with various regulatory and legal requirements, identifying and addressing potential risks.
- Investigations and Responses: Investigate and assist in responses to compliance risk issues, regulatory inquiries, and prepare required documentation.
- Policy Monitoring: Monitor adherence to Citi's Compliance Risk Policies and relevant procedures.
- Compliance Program Materials: Prepare, edit, and maintain Compliance program-related materials.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Interact and work with other areas within Citi as necessary.
- Regulatory Awareness: Keep abreast of regulatory changes, new regulations, and internal policy changes to identify new key risk areas.
- Compliance Knowledge: Knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks, and typologies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-Initiative: Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization.
- Project Management: Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Education: Bachelor's degree; experience in compliance, legal, or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; experience in area of focus; Advanced degree preferred.
- Autonomy: Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Judgment: Can exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
- Expertise: Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
- Risk Assessment: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
