About this position:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Management Officer to become a vital part of our Consumer and Small Business Banking Control Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead intricate initiatives aimed at reducing both existing and potential risks with significant impact.
- Actively participate in the assessment, evaluation, and measurement of decisions made within the Control Management domain.
- Oversee moderately complex business-specific programs and offer risk management consultation to assist in the development and execution of risk-reduction strategies.
- Evaluate, measure, and report on the effectiveness of decisions and controls to the relevant business unit or functional area.
- Design and implement processes and controls for risk monitoring and reporting.
- Collaborate with pertinent business units to identify current and emerging risks related to business operations and provide guidance on risk-mitigation strategies.
- Lead Control Management projects or virtual teams effectively.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Risk Management or Control Management, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 3 years of experience in Consumer and Small Business Banking or Branch Banking is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in risk assessment and control design.
- 3 years of experience in Issues Management.
- 3 years of knowledge and understanding of Control Programs, including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
- 3 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry is preferred.
- Ability to strategically influence and consult across a large organization and various levels of leadership/stakeholders.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting, and SharePoint).
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks, including risk identification, risk appetite, strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics, and governance.
- Strong research and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
