Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Support and Strategy - Sales Practices / Conduct Management
  • Performance Management and Incentive Compensation Design, including oversight of performance-related reporting
  • Enhancing the business control environment through the execution of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program.
  • Driving the completion of assigned issues and Corrective Actions (CAs) throughout the Issue Management Lifecycle, in collaboration with business units.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of new controls.
  • Continuous monitoring and proactive evaluation of the operational/control environment.
  • Supporting Business Development Initiatives, including Customer & Branch Experience and Best Practices.
  • Leading the creation of communication materials, including presentations for leadership and regulatory bodies.
  • Facilitating client relationships, customer outreach, and referral processes.
  • Conducting or overseeing risk assessments (e.g., UDAAP, Conduct/Sales Practices, Fair Lending, and other targeted assessments).
The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of success in conducting risk and control evaluations and collaborating across diverse teams and business units. Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach will be critical in the selection process. Candidates should demonstrate creativity, clarity in communication, and robust problem-solving capabilities, along with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. This role requires a collaborative individual contributor who can initiate action, manage change in a dynamic environment, and exhibit strong planning and execution abilities. A significant differentiator will be the capacity to navigate and thrive in a complex, heavily matrixed business setting. The position demands a sense of urgency, a results-oriented mindset, sound judgment, and personal accountability for outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Risk Management or Control Management, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in risk and control identification methodologies and conducting assessments.
  • Familiarity with branch systems (e.g., Tellerview, SVT, SVP, Hogan) and related procedures for servicing bankers and customers.
  • Previous experience in branch banking or regional support roles.
  • Strong understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and Corporate Policy standards to identify risks and issues for the line of business.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels while influencing timely and efficient risk mitigation.
  • Proactive individual contributor with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Resourcefulness in leveraging information and data from various sources to assess risk effectively.
  • Capability to create, implement, and maintain effective, repeatable processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply credible challenge and withstand scrutiny of work products.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring quality output from oneself and others.
