As a Blood Bank Sales Technical Consultant, you will play a crucial role in achieving annual sales goals for instruments and reagents across various markets. This position involves managing the sales lifecycle related to instrument deployment and addressing customer inquiries within a designated client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Your primary duties will include:

  1. Delivering training and technical assistance in the field for instruments, manual procedures, and reagents.
  2. Collaborating with the Blood Bank Business Manager to enhance reagent sales, support the instrument portfolio, and meet ongoing customer requirements.
  3. Creating precise CRM-based business plans, forecasts for go-live events, and reports to meet sales quotas and product mix targets.
  4. Facilitating the introduction of assays to boost reagent sales on automation platforms within your assigned area.
  5. Gaining a comprehensive understanding of product advantages compared to competitor offerings.
  6. Providing LEAN workflow consultations, conducting instrument evaluations, and performing customer site audits as necessary.
  7. Acting as a vital technical resource for blood donor centers and managing large corporate accounts.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Blood Bank Sales Technical Consultant role will possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution along with relevant experience in outside sales or technical roles. Additionally, candidates must reside within the assigned sales territory and be prepared to travel extensively for this position.

Essential Qualifications Include:

  1. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Blood Banking.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) MT or (NCA) CLS.
  2. ASCP SBB certification.
  3. Project Management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage project timelines effectively.
  4. Strong teamwork capabilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills, preferably with a background in training or education.
  5. Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary along with a performance-based commission structure. Successful achievement of sales targets will result in a total target payout. Additionally, a monthly auto allowance is provided.
