Overview:

As a vital member of our team, you will cater to small enterprises with annual revenues ranging from $250,000 to $5 million, delivering a wide array of financial solutions tailored to our clients' needs. Your role will encompass meeting and exceeding customer expectations by promoting and selling the Bank's offerings, enhancing deposits and fee income, minimizing costs, and fostering exceptional client relationships. You will also ensure the smooth operation of customer accounts and collaborate with the Bank Manager to prepare necessary reports and fulfill other operational functions. Additionally, you will be cross-trained in all cash handling and collection processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Consistently achieve and surpass individual, team, and revenue targets within your designated market while gaining comprehensive knowledge of the financial needs of your clients.
- Actively seek opportunities to develop and strengthen client relationships, contributing to the overall success of the Bank.
- Maintain a prospect list of potential clients and engage in networking, outside sales efforts, and cold calling as appropriate.
- Represent the Bank in the community, taking on leadership roles as opportunities arise.
- Drive profitability within the small business client segment.
- Establish and nurture deposit and loan relationships.
- Identify and acquire new priority small businesses while deepening existing relationships.
- Conduct thorough analyses of clients' financial situations and recommend suitable financial solutions.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of all Bank products and services to maximize relationship-building opportunities.
- Identify client needs and coordinate referrals to other business lines as necessary, meeting referral goals.
- Open and manage various account types and services after consulting with clients about their specific requirements.
- Make informed overdraft and payment decisions daily, exercising independent judgment within established authority limits.
- Address general client inquiries and reconcile statements, collaborating with operations personnel to resolve discrepancies.
- Provide comprehensive account services, including accepting deposits, processing withdrawals, and managing loan payments.
- Collaborate closely with all business lines and departments to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Stay informed about market trends affecting Personal and Business Banking, translating insights into business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with the Bank's operational and security policies to maintain accounting integrity and security.
- Complete all necessary general ledger tickets accurately and ensure timely reporting to Senior Management.
- Oversee the opening and closing of the banking center.
- Collaborate with Lending staff to interview prospective loan applicants and gather required documentation for credit decisions.
- Assist in the loan closing process, ensuring adherence to all credit regulations.

Operational Risk:
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as Bank policies and procedures.
- Complete necessary compliance training and adhere to Banking Center Risk Assessment and Compliance Standards.
- Mitigate risks by following established policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of recent experience in a Small Business Banker role or equivalent.
  • Credit training completed at levels 1 & 2.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of 250 clients.
  • Proven track record of sourcing new business from existing clients and growing deposits.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and closing commercial credit opportunities.
  • Consistent achievement of relationship banking activities, including weekly call goals.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with partners across various departments.
  • Capability to work independently on pre-screening and cash flow analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Economics.
