JOB SUMMARY:

The role of a Commercial Banker is pivotal in fostering connections between business proprietors and community influencers to stimulate growth and economic development. Collaborate with various business units to ensure the effective management and enhancement of the client's comprehensive relationship with Seacoast Bank. Assess, analyze, authorize, and recommend the approval of client applications for commercial financing. Oversee regional credit matters, including portfolio management and sales initiatives. Engage actively within the community to support and advocate for the bank. Accountable for overall profitability and meeting sales objectives across all product offerings. Earns the trust and confidence of clients through transparency, integrity, and authenticity.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business development, analytics, and diagnosis acquired through commercial lending and portfolio oversight.
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial services related to business lines that fostered business client relationships, including Treasury Management, Wealth Management, and Consumer Banking.
  • Proven track record of building relationships with business, civic, and governmental entities, with a well-established presence in the market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Address the financial service needs of clients.
  • Conduct interviews with clients and prospects to gather information regarding their business or personal requirements, aspirations, capabilities, and income to formulate appropriate financial strategies.
  • Make lending decisions within established limits or recommend significant loans to the Commercial Banking Executive.
  • Refer business to other officers as necessary to fulfill client needs.
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of business clients.
  • Actively collaborate with Line of Business Partners to identify referral opportunities and deepen existing client relationships.
  • Work with Line of Business Partners to enhance the bank's visibility and position within the community.
  • Take full responsibility for the ongoing monitoring of all assigned accounts, which includes:
    • Continuous assessment of changes in loan risk profiles.
    • Monitoring compliance with loan agreements.
    • Timely collection and review of required documentation or reports.
    • Oversight of loan repayments.
    • Conducting annual reviews regularly.
  • Analyze industrial, commercial, and financial conditions related to both new and existing businesses.
  • Identify and report problematic credits to the director or manager.
  • Coordinate the management of problematic loans with the Commercial Banking Director or Manager, Line of Business Executive, or Special Assets Administrator.
  • Uphold the highest legal and ethical standards applicable to the industry and adhere to Seacoast Bank's Code of Conduct, while complying with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with AML/BSA requirements, audit protocols, dual control, security measures, Business Continuity, and all other regulatory banking standards.
  • Comply with Seacoast Bank's Code of Conduct.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
