Role Overview:
The Dietary Aide operates within the Community Life Team, assisting in the main dining area or designated neighborhoods to enhance dining services. The role focuses on helping residents maintain their highest level of functional independence and psychosocial well-being, ensuring a positive and quality dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold compliance with Juniper Village's philosophy and operational policies.
- Ensure resident safety at all times.
- Embrace resident-centered philosophies and Culture Change.
- Execute assigned tasks as per the guidance of the Dining Services Director and other leadership members.
- Follow work assignments and schedules diligently.
- Prepare bakery items, desserts, and salad components as per the menu.
- Prepare healthy snacks and special meal requests.
- Monitor resident attendance and meal intake.
- Deliver meals, food carts, and trays efficiently.
- Sanitize and set dining tables.
- Arrange meals promptly and attractively.
- Serve food according to dietary guidelines and menu specifications.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with dining services.
- Understanding of the physiology and psychology of older adults.
- Completion of CPR and First Aid training.
