Key Responsibilities
Role Scope:
- Engages with students and guests daily to address specific dietary requirements.
- Creates recipes aligned with established nutritional standards and ingredient specifications.
- Generates accompanying notes and descriptions for recipes.
- Evaluates menus and meal plans to ensure compliance with nutritional guidelines.
- Conducts content reviews of recipes, notes, nutrient profiles, and related documentation.
- Contributes to recipe development and marketing materials for the food sector.
- Delivers culinary and nutritional education.
- Provides health-focused nutritional information to both professional and consumer audiences.
- Facilitates one-on-one nutritional consultations for individuals with unique dietary needs, empowering them to take charge of their health and dietary choices.
- Offers nutrition education and counseling to both individuals and groups.
- Collaborates with culinary teams to ensure dietary accommodations are met, including arranging specialized meals or sourcing appropriate products.
- Works alongside student support services to manage meal plan exceptions and dietary accommodations.
- Conducts tours for students and families to showcase dining options tailored to specific dietary conditions.
- Adheres to HIPAA and FERPA regulations throughout the counseling process.
- Bachelor's degree in food science, culinary arts, clinical nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Registered Dietitian with current registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in nutritional counseling, food service, or related fields.
