Position Title:
Territory Manager, Sales


The Territory Manager, Sales is tasked with the on-label promotion and execution of sales strategies for approved Penn Foster products to targeted clients within the designated geographic area.

As a vital member of the Company's field sales team, the Territory Manager, Sales is accountable for all aspects of personal promotion within their assigned territory.

They will be expected to implement Penn Foster sales processes within the local geography, adhering to approved sales and marketing resources while ensuring effective, efficient, and compliant operations at all times.

This role reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meet individual territory sales objectives as established by Penn Foster Commercial Leadership
Review performance metrics with the RSM to ensure the territory is achieving optimal sales outcomes.
Develop and nurture strong business relationships with key clients in the assigned region.
Effectively promote and educate Health Care Providers (HCPs) on the utilization of Penn Foster products through personalized meetings, virtual engagements, company-approved promotional events, and other sanctioned programs.
Analyze local market trends, develop, execute, and monitor performance metrics to maximize the appropriate use of Penn Foster products.
Demonstrate effective use of sales and marketing tools and resources to achieve business goals.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Penn Foster product coverage to meet market access objectives for the assigned territory.
Participate in local, regional, and national conferences to promote Penn Foster brands to HCP attendees.
Ensure timely completion of all administrative tasks such as inventory management, call reporting, expense tracking, and related duties as required by Penn Foster.
Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures, completing necessary compliance training, and consistently demonstrating behaviors aligned with company values.
Follow all Penn Foster Expense Report guidelines and adhere to the allocated territory budget.
Establish and maintain effective communication among Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Territory Managers (TMs); organize and monitor performance to realize the business potential of the territory.
Strive to maintain consistency between Sales and Marketing efforts and ensure high standards for executing business initiatives.
Collaborate closely with sales leadership and Market Access to maximize engagement with commercial and government payers.

Ability to maintain vendor credentialing requirements for entities such as VendorMate and RepTrax to ensure access to client locations.

Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications (Education & Experience)
Bachelor's degree required. Preferred degree in sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology, Pre-med, or other STEM backgrounds) and a minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical or relevant sales experience; or equivalent education and experience. Candidates with military backgrounds or similar experiences demonstrating drive and discipline will also be considered.

Experience engaging with Healthcare Professionals preferred but not mandatory.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 30%, including overnight stays for territory business and occasional Regional and National Sales Meetings.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record that meets Penn Foster employment standards.
Documented history of consistent high performance in sales, academics, athletics, or other similar endeavors.
Desire to thrive in a start-up environment or proven experience operating in an entrepreneurial sales model with sole responsibility for product promotion within a large geographic territory.
Ability to embrace a performance-driven and growth-oriented culture.

Demonstrated excellent presentation and communication skills.
Ability to influence and work successfully with diverse audiences, including customers, colleagues, and scientific and technical leaders.
Strong interpersonal and selling skills.
