Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our team at World Fuel Services. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of fuel products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Daily Fuel Deliveries: Analyze daily product delivery requirements for fuel operations and prepare and assign driver work schedules to ensure timely delivery of fuel products to our customers.
  • Manage Fuel Inventory Systems: Maintain accurate records of fuel inventory levels and ensure that all fuel deliveries are made in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Create Daily Dispatch Reports: Prepare and distribute daily dispatch reports to drivers and other stakeholders to ensure that all fuel deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies.
  • Communicate with Drivers: Communicate with drivers regarding load requirements and ensure that all drivers have the necessary information to complete their deliveries safely and efficiently.
  • Support Customer Calls: Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to fuel deliveries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all accidents or spills are reported and documented in accordance with company policies and procedures, and that all transportation operations comply with all facility, company, state and federal rules and DOT regulations.
  • Maintain Fleet Availability: Maintain accurate records of fleet availability and ensure that all drivers have access to the necessary vehicles and equipment to complete their deliveries.
  • Assist in Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation of documents for supporting departments and functions, such as dispatch reports and customer invoices.
  • Perform Other Related Duties: Perform other related duties and tasks as required by management.
Requirements
  • Effective Time Management: Effectively use time to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, anticipating obstacles and adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of the Oil/Fuel Industry: Possess knowledge of the oil/fuel industry and its operations.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Prior Experience as a Petroleum Dispatcher: Prior experience as a petroleum dispatcher preferred.
  • DOT and Hazardous Training: DOT and hazardous training and experience preferred.
