We are currently seeking a Pipeline Scheduling Specialist I/II/Sr to join our team.


POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Scheduling Analysts at Boardwalk are pivotal in delivering frontline support to both external and internal customers regarding capacity release, nominations, confirmations, scheduling, allocations, and imbalances, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

This team plays a crucial role in identifying and implementing enhancements to our gas management systems, ensuring they align with both Boardwalk's business objectives and the needs of our customers.


Key Responsibilities:

Pipeline Scheduling and Customer Support:
Facilitate and oversee customer activities related to nominations, confirmations, scheduling, and path balancing.

Backup Responsibilities:

Engage in a rotation that includes regular office hours as well as after-hours coverage during the week, along with on-call duties as required for holidays and weekends.


Customer Interaction:

Evaluate customer activities against contractual and operational limitations; relay critical information necessary for customer decision-making; schedule pipeline operations within contractual and operational frameworks; provide training and support for the gas management system while addressing customer and operator inquiries; initially, Scheduling Analysts will manage simpler customer accounts, progressing to more complex and larger accounts as they gain knowledge and experience.


Confirmations and PDA Management:

Execute confirmations at designated locations and ensure that all non-Oba locations maintain a valid PDA or adhere to the default tariff allocation.


Imbalance Oversight:

Monitor and proactively manage shipper, location, and OBA imbalances in collaboration with Gas Control, reaching out to appropriate shippers and operators to mitigate imbalances.

Collaborate in teams to devise and execute plans aimed at enhancing the Internet Website to meet both internal and external customer requirements; test system defects and enhancements as assigned.

Adhere to federal regulations, industry standards, tariff provisions, company policies, and compliance plans.

Engage in negotiations with customers, whether internal or external, to develop solutions or recommend services to address nomination, scheduling, and imbalance challenges.
Utilize available resources effectively to achieve objectives.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their priorities and gain insights into their business needs, thereby maximizing customer satisfaction and loyalty while contributing to service enhancements.


REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
0-5 years of scheduling experience in the natural gas, pipeline, or related fields.
Willingness to work a rotating and after-hours schedule.
Strong numerical and detail-oriented skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Robust organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with peers and customers.
Capacity to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Strong analytical capabilities.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in the natural gas industry.
Background in system development and testing outcomes.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Accounting disciplines.
