Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Accounting Analyst I/II/III/Sr to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will undertake complex accounting functions and provide analytical insights to support the company's accounting frameworks, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and accommodating the company's dynamic business requirements.

  • Oversee the month-end and quarter-end closing processes utilizing Oracle EBS, FCC, and/or ARC for GAAP and FERC ledgers.
  • Establish and manage intercompany relationships, define legal entities, and set up general ledger configurations as the business evolves.
  • Develop and maintain elimination sets and mass allocations to facilitate consolidated financial reporting in EBS.
  • Assist in generating reports for external GAAP and FERC obligations as well as internal reporting necessities.
  • Support data loads and reconciliations from EBS to FCC for GAAP and FERC ledgers.
  • Contribute to the design and configuration efforts for acquisitions, mergers, and new company setups.
  • Conduct regular process checks in ledgers to promptly identify errors and ensure system configurations are functioning correctly.
  • Perform unit and regression testing within EBS and FCC to validate system updates and ensure other functionalities remain unaffected.
  • Provide necessary documentation for compliance testing.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to identify efficiencies in processes and reporting while maintaining robust internal controls.
  • Assist in training new and existing employees on general ledger functionalities in EBS, reporting capabilities in FCC, and reconciliation processes in ARC.

Required Skills and Experience:
- 5-10 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Oracle E-Business Suite or other ERP financial systems (primarily general ledger)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in the energy sector
- Familiarity with Financial Consolidation and Close and/or Smartview
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of Power BI or other business intelligence tools

Education Requirements:
- CPA or MBA preferred
