Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an Accounting Analyst I/II/III/Sr to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be tasked with executing intricate accounting functions and delivering analytical insights to bolster the company's accounting frameworks, ensuring adherence to SOX compliance and aligning with the evolving business landscape.

  • Oversee the month-end and quarter-end closing processes utilizing Oracle EBS (E-Business Suite), FCC (Financial Consolidation and Close), and/or ARC (Account Reconciliation Cloud) for GAAP and FERC ledgers.
  • Establish and maintain intercompany relationships, define legal entities, and manage general ledger configurations as the business expands.
  • Develop and maintain elimination sets and mass allocations to facilitate the generation of consolidated financials in EBS.
  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of reports required for external GAAP and FERC compliance as well as internal reporting objectives.
  • Support data transfers and reconciliations from EBS to FCC for GAAP (actuals, budget, and forecast) and FERC ledgers.
  • Contribute to the design and configurations necessary for mergers, acquisitions, and new company formations.
  • Conduct daily and monthly ledger process checks to promptly identify errors and ensure system setups function correctly.
  • Perform unit testing and regression testing within EBS and FCC to validate system updates and ensure no adverse impacts on functionality.
  • Provide necessary SOX documentation for testing purposes.
  • Assist in identifying process and reporting efficiencies while maintaining proper internal controls.
  • Support ongoing training for new hires and existing staff on general ledger operations in EBS, reporting in FCC, and reconciliation processes in ARC.

Required Skills and Experience:
5-10 years of accounting experience
Proficiency in Oracle E-Business Suite or other ERP financial systems (particularly general ledger)
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience in the energy sector
Familiarity with Financial Consolidation and Close and/or Smartview
Advanced skills in Excel
Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.

Education Requirements:
Preferred: CPA or MBA.
