Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior Systems Architect to join our team, contributing to our mission in support of advanced systems initiatives. In this role, you will engage in the development and specification of systems, including conducting risk evaluations, managing interfaces, strategic planning, requirements validation, and participating in systems architecture design. You will integrate model-based systems engineering (MBSE) with systems-of-systems engineering to develop MBSE models that facilitate integration. Additionally, you will provide expertise in systems and subsystem integration and testing, collaborating closely with program management to ensure comprehensive program integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain model-based systems to support diverse projects.
  • Enhance Systems Engineering methodologies for the program, suitable for all stages of system development.
  • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels to identify process requirements and support fellow engineers as a model-based systems expert.
  • Collaborate with other Systems Engineers to create comprehensive life-cycle systems engineering processes, encompassing documentation, workflow automation, efficiency metrics, and traceability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering with 15 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 13 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with satellite ground systems.
  • Proven track record in defining and executing MBSE projects.
  • Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, or equivalent modeling software.
  • Knowledge of DOORS or DOORS Next Gen.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering and integration principles.
  • Ability to lead systems engineering efforts that define and refine a system of systems baseline.
  • Experience in testing and evaluation processes.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of AWS or Azure architecture and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in scripting with C and C++.
  • Experience with Java programming.
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively; proficiency in scheduling with Microsoft Project is advantageous.

Preferred Experience:

  • Capability to integrate MBSE models with other technical baseline data, including CAD, models, and simulations.
  • Experience working with senior client personnel and decision-makers.
  • Background in transitioning systems to cloud environments.
  • INCOSE Certification.
  • MBSE Certification.
  • SysML Certification.

Security Requirements:

  • Must possess a fully adjudicated DoD Top Secret clearance or DOE Q clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
