Your Role
We are seeking an accomplished Information Systems Architect to fulfill a senior or principal-level position, providing support for Information Technology (IT) initiatives within the Nuclear Deterrence Modernization Programs. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in security plan accreditations, IT systems management, and computer networking.
Key Responsibilities:
On a typical day, you may be tasked with:
- Designing and implementing IT solutions, including system configurations and upgrades.
- Overseeing IT security plans, including COMSEC activities and Archer Plans development.
- Leading troubleshooting efforts for complex IT challenges, encompassing hardware, software, and network issues.
- Managing IT procurement processes to ensure the acquisition of essential hardware and software.
- Ensuring adherence to security standards and participating in relevant security meetings.
- Providing strategic guidance for IT infrastructure projects, including property accountability and classified reapplication processes.
Due to the nature of our work, the selected candidate will be required to work onsite. Minimal travel is anticipated for this position.
Compensation
The estimated salary range for this position is $109,300 - $217,400. Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
Qualifications
We require:
- An advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Information Technology or a relevant STEM field, along with one year of directly related experience; or a Bachelor's degree in the same fields with five years of directly related experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems deployed on enterprise-approved computing devices.
- Experience with systems accreditations for secure information systems.
Preferred Qualifications
We desire candidates with:
- An active DOE Q clearance or DoD Top Security clearance.
- Experience with SRN/SCN Operational Technologies Zone applications.
- Experience as an Information Systems Security Official (ISSO) for classified systems accreditation.
- Cyber Security Representative certification.
- Experience in interconnecting disparate systems via Authorizations to Connect approvals.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
About Our Team
The Information Technology team plays a crucial role in supporting the Nuclear Deterrence Modernization Programs by coordinating, deploying, and managing IT hardware, security plans, and compliance. We are responsible for designing and implementing IT solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, and overseeing procurement processes to ensure reliable and secure support for both office and field-testing environments.
Security Clearance
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. A federal background investigation will be conducted for candidates offered employment, and any substance abuse or illegal drug use may affect clearance eligibility.
