Company Overview
BlueWater Federal Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Architect to deliver comprehensive administration and architectural support for Enterprise Application services, encompassing systems such as Active Directory, Exchange, VMWare tools, and various commercial and government-off-the-shelf solutions.
Role Focus
This position will concentrate on a diverse array of IT services, particularly in the transition to a secure cloud-based operational framework within the Intelligence Community (IC) information sharing environment. The role will leverage technical expertise and analytical support to assist the Department of Energy (DOE) and the United States Intelligence Community (USIC) in identifying, safeguarding, mitigating, and countering threats directed at critical national assets and DOE networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability remediation on Windows operating systems and databases as directed, utilizing tools such as Tenable and ACAS.
- Facilitate security and upgrade initiatives for virtual and physical desktop environments using tools like PDQ and Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune.
- Assist in the upgrade processes for Windows 10 and newer operating systems, including end-of-life technology refresh efforts, image creation, and deployment.
- Design, configure, deploy, and maintain Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) utilizing VMware Horizon.
- Provide technical assistance for server operating system-related issues, performing system checks and reviewing server OS event logs to resolve identified problems.
- Review, test, and implement necessary firmware, security patches, and upgrades for all Windows operating systems across various environments.
- Deliver Tier 3 support for server operating systems and desktop environments.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 17 years in systems engineering. Key qualifications include:
- Extensive experience in Windows environments, with a strong emphasis on specialized Active Directory expertise.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, including schema administration.
- Experience in Group Policy Object (GPO) creation, consolidation, and troubleshooting.
- FISMO role administration experience.
- An active Top Secret clearance is required; a TS with SSBI within the last two years, Q clearance, or SCI is highly preferred.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with tools such as Jira/Confluence, RSA, Tenable/ACAS for security vulnerability remediation on Unix/Linux-based operating systems, WYSE management tools, and database support including SQL, MySQL, and MongoDB, as well as Nutanix, is advantageous.
