Job Summary

As a Technical Service Manager - Dairy Nutrition Expert at Church & Dwight, you will provide technical support to regional sales personnel, key influencers, and distributors. You will serve as a commercial and technical representative for Arm & Hammer Animal Nutrition, managing relationships with dairy companies and their networks of influencers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Support for Sales Growth: Collaborate with sales teams to deliver technical support aligned with defined sales targets for accelerated growth in the region.
  • Interface with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with AHAN Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and R&D functions to ensure support activities align with respective Functional Group Initiatives.
  • Provide On-Farm Customer Support: Offer technical support to customers on farms, coordinated by the sales organization.
  • Field and Respond to Technical Inquiries: Field, log, and respond to technical customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Technical Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Provide technical troubleshooting and customer problem-solving services to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Develop and Conduct Training: Develop and conduct internal and external customer technical training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Product Demonstration Trials: Develop and conduct product/on-farm demonstration trials to showcase the benefits of our products.
  • Collaborate with Technical Services Managers: Interface with other Technical Services managers to facilitate collaborative idea exchange and best practices sharing.
  • Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: PhD in Dairy Nutrition or a DVM with strong training/experience in dairy nutrition. Minimum of five years industry or university experience in technical support with primary expertise in dairy cattle production.
  • Expertise and Skills: Expertise in Gut Health Management is desirable. Previous product development experience helpful. Proven track record of working in a team-based environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to make professional presentations and proposals to both internal and external customers. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic customer relationships, handle multiple priorities, and work in a self-direct manner. Experienced in use of CNCPS Model-based software (e.g., AMTS, NDS, etc.) as well as other ration formulation programs is required. Proficient in use of DairyCOMP 305 or other dairy records systems preferred. Strong PC skills to include MS Office.
