Business Strategy and Planning Manager

Overview -
This position is pivotal in steering the strategic vision of HP Development Company, L.P., ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of innovation and competitiveness in a dynamic market. You will play a crucial role in shaping strategic decisions through comprehensive analyses, synthesizing findings, testing various hypotheses, and formulating actionable recommendations. Additionally, you will lay the groundwork for successful initiatives by collaborating with business leaders on implementation strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designs analytical frameworks and formulates project strategies and methodologies.
  • Identifies necessary research, tools, and analyses to meet objectives for extensive and intricate business strategy projects.
  • Creates recommendations aimed at enhancing business and financial performance.
  • Oversees large, cross-functional teams and manages communications to ensure project facilitation and timely client delivery.
  • Engages collaboratively across various business units, functions, and regions to align strategic direction with corporate and divisional goals.
  • Facilitates regular strategic planning follow-ups to promote collaboration and accountability.
  • Leads the establishment of project guidelines, contingency plans, objectives, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Advises business executives on a broad spectrum of issues related to strategy formulation, including risk management and new growth avenues.
  • Utilizes strategic and management consulting frameworks to implement a holistic portfolio approach for evaluating and managing the organization’s diverse business units, platforms, and products.
  • Provides thought leadership and contributes to the expansion of knowledge within the area of expertise, including the development of innovative methods, techniques, and criteria for strategy analysis and recommendations.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience demonstrating competence.
  • Typically possesses over 6 years of experience, preferably in strategic management, strategic planning and execution, consulting, market research, or a related discipline.
