Business Strategy and Operations Manager Overview -

This position is pivotal in steering the strategic trajectory of HP Personal Systems, ensuring its competitiveness and flexibility in an ever-evolving market environment. You will guide strategic decisions through comprehensive analyses, synthesizing findings, validating hypotheses, and crafting actionable recommendations. Additionally, you will lay the groundwork for various initiatives by collaborating with business leaders to ensure effective implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design analytical frameworks and formulate project strategies and tactics.
  • Identify necessary research, tools, and analyses to meet objectives for large-scale business strategy initiatives.
  • Develop strategies aimed at enhancing business and financial performance.
  • Oversee large, cross-functional teams and manage communications to ensure project facilitation and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate across various business units, functions, and regions to align strategic direction with corporate goals.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups on strategic planning to promote collaboration and accountability.
  • Lead the creation of project guidelines, contingency plans, objectives, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Consult with business leaders on a variety of strategic formulation issues, including risk management and growth opportunities.
  • Utilize strategic and management consulting frameworks to implement a comprehensive approach for evaluating and managing the organization’s diverse business units, platforms, and products.
  • Provide thought leadership and contribute to the enhancement of knowledge within your area of expertise, including the development of innovative methods and criteria for strategy analysis and recommendations.

Education & Experience Requirements

A four-year or advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience demonstrating competence.

Typically requires 6+ years of experience, preferably in strategic management, planning and implementation, consulting, market research, or a related discipline.
