We are evolving our business model by expanding into the low carbon energy markets with our chemistry expertise, key mineral acreage, and global infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with domestic indirect tax laws and regulations, ensuring accurate and timely tax returns.
  • Oversee the coordination of property tax compliance with a third-party services provider, including research and planning.
  • Review and reconcile property tax and domestic indirect tax general ledger accounts.
  • Issue exemption certificates to vendors, review legal contract sales tax provisions, and local tax incentive programs.
  • Monitor and update the Vertex O-Series taxability manager, including taxability matrixes.
  • Coordinate the collection of documentation and prepare responses to tax audits, using statutory, regulatory, or judicial authority to support the company's position.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in state and local tax laws and perform/manage tax minimization strategies.
  • Use sound judgment and interpersonal skills to obtain and determine the source, timing, significance, and effective use of tax data.
  • Maintain good relationships with other team members to gather relevant tax information from other departments.
  • Manage 2 direct reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years' experience in Tax.
  • As needed travel.
  • Experience using JDE ERP systems.
  • Vertex O-Series experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with tax research software.
