JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Strategy and Innovation plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction, systems, processes, and growth of our gastrointestinal practice and surgical center. This position is instrumental in establishing and executing a comprehensive operational and expansion strategy for DLDC, encompassing both core care delivery and additional revenue-generating opportunities. The role entails providing leadership and guidance for patient care delivery systems within our practice, with direct accountability for patient care, facility needs, physician recruitment and satisfaction, and operational performance. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations with a focus on patient care, physician recruitment, high-quality customer service, marketing initiatives (including digital strategies), implementing relevant IT solutions, staffing, budgeting, and optimizing the use of available resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
OPERATIONS
· Directs and supervises all staff to ensure efficient daily operations, emphasizing patient care delivery, effective practice management, physician recruitment, and community engagement.
· Clearly defines and delegates daily responsibilities to the practice manager.
· Maintains a high standard of customer service; addresses and resolves complaints, setting an example by delivering excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
· Develops and implements a robust marketing strategy to enhance patient acquisition and retention.
· Fosters collaborative relationships with provider staff to enhance provider satisfaction and retention, ensuring clinical operations support both providers and patient care.
· Evaluates current information systems and recommends new tools to support high-quality medical care, developing effective training and optimization strategies for patients, employees, and providers.
· Assesses patient, employee, and physician satisfaction metrics, implementing action plans to ensure quality outcomes through continuous improvement.
· Cultivates effective relationships with medical staff and employees to promote continuity of quality outcomes and resolve operational challenges.
· Serves as a resource for patient care operations and compliance with state regulatory requirements.
· Establishes a safe and professional work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
· Develops and administers in-service training and education for staff as necessary.
FINANCIAL
· Establishes operating budgets and manages expenses accordingly, ensuring sound fiscal operations.
· Achieves budgeting goals through effective resource utilization.
· Analyzes staffing levels using quantitative and qualitative methods.
· Reviews capital equipment expenditures and makes informed recommendations.

· Strong expertise in billing and operations, particularly in outpatient care delivery.
· Previous experience in budget management and strategic planning is essential.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or G-suite is required.
