In this role, you will play a crucial part in the Customer Service department, ensuring that customer purchase orders are processed promptly to meet shipping and lead time requirements. This is a diverse role within a medium-sized company, requiring regular interaction with various departments.

Job Summary:

This role involves reviewing contracts and entering orders for SMO USA customers. It requires timely and precise responses to customer orders, adherence to Conductix-Wampfler's processes, and compliance with customer specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Confirm receipt of orders received via electronic communication.
  • Review and enter orders for accuracy and completeness according to customer and company standards.
  • Regularly update the system with shipping addresses, contacts, and prospects.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding any discrepancies or necessary changes to orders.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and other internal departments to meet customer needs.
  • Document customer concerns or complaints.
  • Participate actively in the customer service phone line.
  • Assist with additional projects as assigned.
  • Support and uphold the Quality and EHS policies.
  • Embody the Core Values of the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Typing skills of at least 50 WPM with high accuracy.
  • Proficient in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members, customers, and other departments.
  • Critical thinking skills to address questions and issues related to orders.
  • High diligence to ensure accurate order information.
  • Ability to maintain productivity under pressure and interruptions.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in industrial sales is a plus but not mandatory.

Education and Experience:

Post-secondary education and prior experience in order entry or similar data entry roles are preferred.

Language Skills:

The role requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer purchase orders, as well as sufficient verbal and written communication skills to gather and interpret necessary information for accurate order entry.

Mathematical Skills:

The position requires the ability to perform basic mathematical operations and compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
