Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our team at the University of Florida. The successful candidate will have a strong background in immunology and/or gene therapy, with a strong interest in research and excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in the development of novel immunotherapies for autoimmune diseases through immune tolerance induction, Regulatory T cells (Tregs) and adeno-associated virus (AAV) gene therapy.
  • Employ a diverse array of state-of-the-art tools to accomplish research goals.
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and implement experiments.
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences.
  • Contribute to the preparation of research papers and publications.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree in Immunology (preferred), Molecular/Cell biology, or other Biology related field.
  • Strong background in immunology and/or gene therapy.
  • Experience working with EAE or other mouse models of disease.
  • Ability to individually implement and conduct experiments.
  • Experience in flow cytometry, in vivo/ex vivo immunoassays, IHC/IF techniques is desired, but not required.
