Role Overview

We are seeking a part-time TikTok Content Coordinator to enhance our Social Media Team. This position will be pivotal in shaping our content and community strategy on TikTok, encompassing everything from filming and editing to publishing. You will be responsible for ideating storylines, executing them, and capitalizing on trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the TikTok content creation strategy, producing on-brand content both reactively and proactively.
  • Create authentic and relatable videos by self-applying makeup, comfortable with appearing on camera.
  • Produce TikTok-first videos that align with our messaging guidelines while utilizing in-app features.
  • Manage the monthly TikTok content calendar to ensure alignment with overall marketing objectives.
  • Prepare engaging content in advance for team review, adjusting posting dates as necessary to stay current with trends.
  • Craft strategic copy and utilize relevant hashtags for review by the Copywriter.
  • Publish content daily during peak engagement times, following approval from Social and Creative teams.
  • Select engaging thumbnails that reflect our brand identity and add copy overlays when needed.
  • Host live sessions to support key calendar events or product launches.
  • Source trending sounds for content that are licensed for commercial use.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content at events, tailoring it for the platform.
  • Actively engage with and respond to customers on the platform.
  • Analyze performance data to inform content strategies and recommendations.
  • Oversee all aspects of the platform, including content creation, editing, publishing, copywriting, and community management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role within the beauty industry.
  • Proficient in CapCut and Splice for video editing.
  • Comfortable on camera with experience editing within the TikTok app.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Able to work in-office as needed for on-brand content creation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency across all social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, Threads, and Pinterest.
  • Self-motivated, thriving in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Passionate about makeup, skincare, and the beauty industry.
  • Experience with social media metrics is a plus.
