Role Overview
We are seeking a part-time TikTok Content Coordinator to enhance our Social Media Team. This role will be pivotal in shaping our content and community strategy on TikTok, encompassing everything from filming and editing to publishing. You will be the primary resource for all TikTok activities, including brainstorming storylines, executing ideas, and capitalizing on trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the TikTok content creation strategy, producing both proactive and reactive on-brand content.
- Generate authentic and relatable content by applying makeup on camera; comfort in appearing on video is essential.
- Produce TikTok-first videos that align with our messaging guidelines while utilizing in-app features effectively.
- Oversee the monthly TikTok content calendar to ensure alignment with our marketing objectives.
- Prepare engaging content in advance for team review and adjust posting schedules to stay current with trends.
- Craft strategic copy and apply relevant hashtags for the Copywriter's review.
- Publish content daily during peak engagement times, pending approval from Social and Creative teams.
- Select compelling thumbnails that reflect our brand and add copy overlays when necessary.
- Host live sessions to support key calendar events or product launches.
- Identify trending sounds for content that are licensed for commercial use.
- Capture behind-the-scenes content at events and adapt it for the platform (e.g., photoshoots, launch events).
- Engage actively with customers on the platform, monitoring and addressing their interactions.
- Analyze performance data to refine content strategies and make informed recommendations.
- Manage all aspects of the platform, including content creation, editing, publishing, copywriting, and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree.
- 1-2+ years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the beauty sector.
- Proficient in CapCut and Splice for video editing.
- Comfortable on camera with experience editing within the TikTok application.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and project management capabilities.
- Able to work in-office as needed for on-brand content featuring team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High proficiency across all social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, etc.
- Self-motivated, thriving in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Passionate about makeup, skincare, and the beauty industry.
- Experience with social metrics (e.g., Dash Hudson) is advantageous.
