Job Description

As the Associate Director of Youth Workforce Development, you will lead a team of professionals in operating innovative workforce development and education programming for youth in South Los Angeles. Under the direction of the Director of Workforce Development, you will oversee daily operations, ensure client-focused service implementation, and monitor grant performance.

The position requires a high level of accountability and the ability to provide support to the SLAYB Program Manager and YouthSource Center Manager. You will be responsible for utilizing internal and external systems to track grant performance, personnel performance, and grant expenditures.

The Learning and Evaluation (L&E) and Fiscal Team will collaborate with you to ensure all personnel and programs are operating at their full potential. You will implement policies and procedures to establish quality assurance and control, promoting a high-performing environment for all staff.

You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining key relationships and partnerships with community-based organizations, public system partners, City of LA departments, key stakeholders, and funders.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of youth programming management experience
  • Education Requirement: BA Degree, MSW preferred
  • 3 years of professional WIOA and combined with other workforce development experience can be used as a substitute for education
  • Experience managing and supporting programs that serve vulnerable populations
  • Experience with the City of Los Angeles CalJOBS management system/oversight
  • Additional system experience with Salesforce and DOL MIS is a plus
