Position Overview:
The Lead Youth Care Worker at HopeTree Family Services will act as a vital resource for all residential staff, ensuring exemplary service delivery to all residents and guests.

This leadership role encompasses direct care responsibilities as necessary, while placing significant emphasis on guiding Youth Care Workers in executing their daily responsibilities effectively and efficiently.

The Lead will consistently exemplify and promote kindness, dignity, respect, and the core values of HopeTree Family Services, along with maintaining professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:
The Lead will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the daily activity schedule, supporting the overall operations of the facility, and fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the Lead will assist in communicating any agency or program updates to all staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Human Services field is required, with at least six (6) months of experience working with youth and adolescents. A Master's Degree in a related field is preferred, along with the same experience. Previous supervisory experience and QMHP-C certification are strongly preferred. Candidates must be at least 21 years old.

Work Schedule:
This position entails a 40-hour workweek, typically scheduled between 9 am and 9 pm, with potential for additional hours or shifts as needed to cover staff absences. Monthly on-call and weekend coverage is required, generally every other weekend, with compensatory days off during the week.

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee daily operations of residential cottages, ensuring adequate staff coverage.
  • Foster respectful communication and teamwork among Youth Care Workers across all shifts.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for both residents and staff, ensuring completion of housekeeping tasks.
  • Implement policies and procedures consistently through modeling, coaching, and training.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency response as necessary, focusing on harm reduction and trauma-informed care.
  • Ensure timely and thorough completion of behavior tracking charts, progress notes, and incident reports.
  • Support health and safety initiatives, including medication administration and attendance at medical appointments.
  • Train new hires and provide ongoing training for current staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $22.00 per hour

Experience Requirements:

  • At least one year of direct care experience with youth and adolescents preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Driver's License required.
  • QMHP Certification preferred.

Relocation:
Must be willing to relocate as required.
